After volunteering for many years with many different school and community organisations I found there is one perennial problem – fund raising. The resources to support the fund raising are ever diminishing. For various reasons volunteers are increasingly harder to recruit and retain.
These days people are more likely to see themselves as part of an online community, including social media, rather than as a member of a local community. Fund raising needs to adjust accordingly.
There are some good fund raising sites out there but they tend to be expensive, charging significant commissions and booking fees. That doesn’t have to be the case.
We don’t have the over heads of other fund raising websites and therefore able to keep costs to a minimum. Our philosphy is about empwing your organisation rather than becoming dependent upon us. We will set up the systems, train you and your team how to use the systems and provide you with the training resources so your skills can be passed on to your successors in the organisation.
We have made sure that the Ezy Fund raising platform is built only with robust free software which is user friendly. Most of the software is open source. The software is also popular so that it is very likely someone in your organisation will be familiar with using the software. Also there are plenty of training resources available on Youtube and elsewhere online. This is in addition to the customised traing I will provide you.
The tools we use include:
- WordPress and Woocommerce. Only free plugins for WordPress and Woocommerce are used;
- Google Forms, Google Sheets and Google Drive.
- Dropbox;
- Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Pinterest and LinkedIn;
- Microsoft Paint and Gimp;
- Evernote and Producteev:
- Mailchimp;
- Active Presenter; and
- Prize wheel – Wheeldecide.com;
- Payment Gateways – Stripe and PayPal
This means you can customise your site to your requirements. You can host the Ezy Fund Raising platform on the server with your website or we can host it for you at no additional cost.
